I did not quit the website

Hello everybody.

My intention with this post is not only to tell you that I’m not dead (yet), but also apologize for the lack of posts here since RoboCup DutchOpen. Here’s what happened:

  1. After RoboCup DutchOpen, we in CAMBADA were preparing a bunch of challenges for RoboCup2012. Until the last day before flight, there were lots of work to do.
  2. RoboCup2012 – Mexico was a great opportunity to continue developing my programming skills under great stress. Every minute counts and on our side there are other teams continuously making progresses. We must keep up working to get the best results.
  3. My life is not only made of robotics, as I am a student of Electronics and Telecomunications Engineering at University of Aveiro. There were lots of tests and exams during the same period.
  4. Right after the semester ended, I had the opportunity to work in the greatest companies in Portugal, which is Portugal Telecom. After I participated in an idea challenge promoted by PT, I have been given the chance to put that idea in practice. I can say little about the project itself, but it was inside the MEO development team (the top IPTV provider in Portugal) that I spent 1 and a half month working, learning and struggling to get that working in such a short period of time. It was my first experiments with Microsoft MediaRoom and I learned A LOT, I mean, A LOT!
  5. When that experience ended, it was time to start preparing the next semester.

So basically I had little time to stop, rest, sleep and of course, update the site. I’ll make an effort to bring you more articles about things we all enjoy.

Thanks for your understanding. :)
